Coconut Grove, Miami, FL

Walk
Through Coconut Grove
Coconut Grove offers world-class restaurants, theater and nightlife
lasting until the early morning hours. There are also arts
festivals, cultural events, historical tours and landmarks to be
explored and enjoyed. Nestled in a few coble stoned blocks at the
edge of Biscayne Bay, Coconut Grove is alive and buzzing during the day
and night. There are plenty of stores, boutiques, and small cafes
and restaurants of every flavor. There is a distinctly South
Florida theme to the architecture - with coble stoned walkways, Spanish
tile roofs, and colorful awnings and archways.
Dining
in Coconut Grove
There are dozens of culturally unique restaurants in Coconut Grove.
We passed Latin, Asian, Caribbean, and even French cuisine
establishments before deciding. We stopped for lunch at the Mambo
Cafe - a Cuban restaurant with several Miami locations. Of course
we had to try the Cuban Pork Sandwich and the very fresh Ceviche - a
Latin dish composed of chunks of raw fish, lime juice, chopped onion,
and minced ají limo. The food was tasty and the service was
excellent. We enjoyed this fine meal and the scenery while seated
curbside at an outdoors table.
Biscayne
Bay Waterfront
From Coconut Grove, it is but a short walk to the water front of
Biscayne Bay, the Yacht Club, and the Coconut Grove Expo Center.
The sea wall is scenic, with all of the sailboats gently swaying in the
breeze.
